Filed under: Episodes — conrey @ 7:00 am

And we’re back for Part 2 of our Question and Answer session with Justin McHood. Wrapping up the rest of our questions that we didn’t get to last week:

  1. What is the ONE question that you should ask a sales guy when you are interviewing him?
  2. What is the best way to get fired if you are a sales guy?
  3. If you are a sales manager, what is the best way to fire a sales guy?
  4. If you are a sales manager and your sales force has already hit it’s numbers for the quarter and year – what do you do then?
  5. If a sales guy makes more than the sales manager, is this a problem?
  6. What is the worst possible compensation system for a sales force in general?
  7. How well do sales promotions and contests work? Do sales people really sell more stuff if you run a contest?
  8. If you are running a sales contest for the sales force, what kind of time frames should you use? Yearly/Quarterly/Monthly/Hourly, etc.
  9. How come marketing “always” produces crappy leads?
  10. How come marketing “always” says that the sales force can’t close and that the leads they are producing are “great” leads?
  11. Do great sales guys come in to work late in the am or early in the am?
  12. What one skill could help most sales guys elevate their game but they can’t seem to acquire it as a general rule?

Big thank you to Justin for coming in and sharing his questions with us and jumping right on the mic fearlessly.
